Luke O – Singer Guitarist is a talented singer/guitarist from Bendigo, Victoria. His devotion, enthusiasm and passion for music and people has led him to become one of the most in-demand solo acoustic performers in Bendigo and throughout Central Victoria.
A dedicated athlete throughout his teenage years, Luke’s dreamed of pulling on the black and white for The Collingwood Magpies, like his Uncle Ben Kinnear. Sadly, Luke’s sporting endeavors came to an abrupt halt when he severely injured his leg whilst competing in a 100m sprint race. During his nine month recovery, he turned to his other passion, music.
Having learnt singing, guitar, keyboard and drums as a boy, the whole music thing came back to him again. In 2008, he started taking guitar lessons again with his friend Chris Morley and began performing regularly in charity concerts around Bendigo. Since then, Luke’s musical career has flourished and in conjunction with his profession as a school integration aide, he works part-time as a public speaker and solo acoustic entertainer.

…established Bendigo for Homeless Youth in 2012; a non-profit organisation that has assisted in raising over $6,000,000 to date to provide housing accommodation, family reconciliation and education for hundreds of people in Bendigo and throughout Central Victoria. To achieve this feat, Luke co-ordinated a group of talented Bendigo musicians and collaborated with them to record the charity album “Home” of which 1200 copies were sold. For his efforts, Luke was awarded the 2013 National Pride of Australia Young Leader medal and was named a finalist for the 2014 Young Australian of The Year.

My partner Heath, and I first saw Luke performing at Lake Weeroona on Australia Day 2015.
