Inspired by the unique sound of French gypsy jazz typified by the exuberant swing rhythm of two acoustic guitars and double bass, The Surprise Party play a broad repertoire from hot swinging jazz from the 20’s to the 40’s, french melodies, waltzes and tender lyrical ballads. The trio augments its sound to include Clarinet, violin, accordion or female vocals to suit the occasion.
